Full description:

Beautiful piece of decorated pottery from Khalo-la-botau in the eastern Free State. It is not unusual to find among older ruins broken pottery with more elaborate designs. Such designs were also often found on the inside of the houses. As styles changed over the past 150 years, the designs were transferred to the outside of houses (litema patterns).
