About Morija Museum & Archives

Morija Museum & Archives (MMA), formally established in 1956 at Morija, Lesotho, is a non-profit educational institution devoted to developing programmes and activities related to history, heritage and community-based tourism, the arts and culture, as well as science and the environment.

It is a pioneer in this regard, building upon the long-established traditions of creativity, innovation and excellence that have made Morija a major educational and cultural centre in Lesotho over the past 175 years. A small institution with a big heart, its programmes and activities have impacted widely across Lesotho.

MMA belongs to the Lesotho Evangelical Church, is governed by a Board, and enjoys significant support from the Ministry of Tourism, Environment & Culture as well as a range of other partners.
The MMA auditors are AccTech & Associates (Nala House #3, P.O. Box 1308, Maseru 100; acctech@leo.co.ls).
